Seed Steps	In late summer to early fall, gather seeds from mature Night Phlox plants. You'll know they're ready when the seed heads have turned brown and dried out. Store the seeds in a cool, dry place until late winter or early spring. Fill seed trays or small pots with a well-draining seed-starting mix. A 50/50 mix of sphagnum peat moss and either perlite or coarse vermiculite is ideal. Moisten the mix slightly and sow seeds 1/4 inch deep in the seed-starting mix, then lightly cover with soil. Place the seed trays in a warm, bright location with indirect sunlight. Maintain a temperature of around 65-75°F (18-24°C) and keep the soil moist. Seedlings should appear within 2-4 weeks. Once seedlings have grown several sets of leaves, they can be transplanted to individual pots or directly into the garden.
